The way some of these companies market Acai, you’d think it’s the cure for every evil in the world. Let me burst the bubble and tell you that’s not case although it does have some fantastic health benefits.
The berry is a source of vital antioxidants and is even thought to have some good colon cleansing properties but as a fat burning agent the Acai berry doesn’t get a passing grade.
If you’re tempted to purchase such a product please, put it down and step away – you’ll only be disappointed. The berry never has been, and never will be, a very good fat burning agent.
How can Acai help me lose wieght?
The best way the Acai berry can help you lose weight is in its colon cleansing properties – so in other words – it can help the body flush out built up toxins that have accumulated in the body over time.
The berry has a unique ability to keep the bodies digestive tracts operating at 100% efficiency. This colon cleansing process makes a small dent in weight gain but nothing permanent.
It’s not the Acai that plays the key role in the products potential to burn fat; that distinction falls on the Green Tea and the caffeine. So why did they call the pill Therm Acai instead of Therm Green Tea or something else?
It’s marketing. I’m thinking the marketing team behind the product wanted to capitalize on the Acai berry’s popularity. It is also the ingredient with the highest dosage amounts in the product but that only seems right. It would be strange to call a product Therm Acai only to have Green Tea or some other supplement dominate the ingredient profile.
Besides Acai, what else in Therm Acai can help me lose weight?
Green Tea is certainly one of those supplements that can help a dieter take control of their weight. The basic fat burning benefit of Green Tea hails from a powerful antioxidant contained in the tea called, catechin polphenols.
This antioxidant can stimulate metabolism, which in turn, can increase the potential for weight loss. According to one study in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, researches found that over a 24-hour period Green Tea can increase a dieter’s metabolic rate by up to 4%.
But Green Tea isn’t the only supplement that’s a proven fat burner, the formula also calls for 50 mg of Caffeine Anhydrous. This stimulant is used in a wide variety of weight loss pills because it has been proven to improve the body’s metabolic rate.
They only list about 50 mg of Caffeine Anhydrous. I’d like to see that number higher because 50mgs just isn’t strong enough to maximize the stimulant’s potential.
Final thoughts
I like Acai, I like Green Tea and Caffeine but unfortunately it’s just not enough to be a particularly effective fat burner. There are products that contain all three of these ingredients at higher dosage amounts.
