I managed to find one, single, solitary review on Excellean.

This is from ‘Jason at GNC.’
Wait a minute–wouldn’t a sales rep from GNC give it a glowing review if they sell it? (Which they do.)
Hmmm…
What is Excellean by SEI Pharmaceuticals? Well it’s a product full of natural and healthy oils to promote the reduction of body fat.
Wait another minute–a product that uses oils to burn fat???
Yes, the irony isn’t lost on me either.
Here are the claims my friends–
- Excellean is a natural fat burner
- Suppresses cravings
- Supports joint flexibility
- Increases lean muscle gain
- Reduces abdominal fat
- Contains good omega fatty acids
And can I add one?
- Comes in a smashing yellow bottle!
Does it work? Can it really burn fat–especially around stubborn areas like the belly? My five year-old frequently askes me if I’m pregnant!
The answer is “No–I’M FAT!”
Let’s look at the ingredient. They’ll tell us.
Ingredients in Excellean by SEI Pharmaceuticals
I could find nowhere on the SEI Pharmaceuticals website the ‘formula’ quantity. But I managed to find out it’s 1000 mg from other sources.
BTW–a ‘formula’ is simply another way of naming a ‘proprietary blend’.
Blends=HISS! (Yes, ‘HISS’ is bad.)
Blends hide incorrect ingredient quantities, poor quality and are generally naughty.
Here’s what’s in this one:
- CLA
- Organic flaxseed oil
- Fish oil
- Evening primrose oil
And that’s all folks. There’s no appetite suppressants, zero stimulants, nothing for energy increase.
But polyunsaturated fats are good for you. And some studies do suggest that the right fats can reduce abdominal fat. Here is what SEI Pharmaceuticals has to say about the Excellean ingredients:
“Designed to help the body shed abdominal fat fast, the ingredients in EXCELLEAN supplement the body with a wide array of healthy oils that support body-fat reduction, healthy metabolism and antioxidant assistance.

Yes. And no.
(More ‘no’ than ‘yes’ really.)
You can only return UNOPENED bottles.
Within 30 days of the order date (not receipt.)
And not without calling long-distance for a ‘RA’ (Return Authorization Form) first.
Or standing on your head facing east. (Okay, I made that last one up.)
In my mind a return policy that covers only unopened bottles is no policy at all.
What are you supposed to do? Try the product by osmosis?
Final Thoughts
This is an expensive ‘health’ product for $49.99 plus shipping. Undoubtedly it’s good for you. And CLA is an excellent, clinically proven weight loss ingredient. But it isn’t going to work alone. You’ll need to radically change your diet and incorporate lots of exercise. And adding an additional thermogenic product is essential too (like ‘GNC Jason’ said.)
I would opt instead to buy a fat burner with six to eight clinically proven ingredients that burn fat, increase energy, suppress appetite, improve mood and generally help you to–lose weight!!! And buy a big bottle of fish oil at Costco.
It is good for you after all.
