Yeah well–lots of companies make such promises.  Then they run off with your money and the nanny.  (I added the last part for dramatic effect.)

Let’s look at the ingredients and see if there’s anything to it.

Ingredients in NutraBolics Thermal XTC

The following ingredients are thrown into a 1,677 mg proprietary blend.  Blends to me are like randomly tossing food items into a soup.  You may have a bit of chicken left from the night before and some carrots, but the ‘good stuff’ is drowned in the cheaper ingredients.   You cannot tell if you’re getting the correct ingredient quantities in a blend.  It contains:

• Gamma Butyrobetaine- has been shown to increase the body’s product of L-Carnitine–an ingredient which releases fatty acids from fat cells to be burned as energy.   
• Wild Nutmeg Extract- purportedly produces a euphoric mood. 
• Geranium Maculatum- a stimulant that gives energy, mental clarity and better physical and mental performance.  It affects the central nervous system to release more fat burning hormones.  Geranium allegedly works synergistically with caffeine to amplify effect. 
• African Mango Extract- finally a clinically proven ingredient!  African Mango Extract (Irvingia Gabonesis), increases leptin which is the hormone responsible for regulating metabolism and hunger. It also inhibits fat production and controls glucose levels.  Studies have further shown it lowers LDL cholesterol.  
• L-Tyrosine-the precursor to neurotransmitters such as dopamine which aid in mood enhancement and in relieving stress.  It also increases thermogenesis (fat burning) and stimulates the thyroid.
• Evodiamine- Evodiamine is a plant extract which purportedly reduces fat production and storage.  It may also increase energy levels.  
• Octopamine- not ‘Octomom’ but Octopamine–her older sister.  Kidding.  This ingredient is a beta-3 adrenergic receptor agonist which breaks down fat for energy.  It also helps increase serotonin which aids in mood, and improves insulin sensitivity.
