Optislim VLCD Shakes Reviews
G’day mates! Australian company Optislim® welcomes you to their “shrimp on the barb-e”-free “VLDC” (very low calorie diet) program including meal replacement shakes in sumptious chocolate, vanilla and expresso flavors. Let’s see what the peeps have to say about them.
These are reviews taken from a source outside of the official website:
“Pros: chocolate shake tastes fine after a couple of days. Easy for my busy lifestyle. Getting results – lost nearly 7 kgs over 2 weeks. Cons: into my third week and the scales have not moved – haven’t gained them back, but haven’t lost anything. Being positive considering I lost so much in the first two weeks. Overall: I’m having great results – only two shakes morning and lunch and for dinner mainly chicken stir fry or chicken salad. Once a week I have beef instead.
Would definitely recommend if you are fed up and 100% committed to the program.”
“Pros: the chocolate shakes don’t taste bad. Overall:this is my 2nd day on Optislim VLCD replacing 3 meals a day & also eating 2 cups of vegetables, 1 piece of fruit and drinking the 2 liters of water. I’m really hungry today hope I stop feeling hungry soon I don’t want to give in.”
Yes folks, Optislim is not a program for the faint hearted. You determine which program you want to go with-ACCELERATED, RAPID or BALANCED and you start incorporating Optislim shakes, soups or meal bars into your diet. All three programs are low, low calorie. Prepare to be hungry while your body starves and relies on burning its own fat storage to survive!
Ingredients in Optislim VLCD Shakes
The ingredients are not divulged. Sorry, but that’s the extent of it. Nowhere on the official website do they tell you what’s in their products other than:
“The Optislim® VLCD Shakes contain all of your daily nutritional requirements, including 25 vitamins and minerals, when you use 3 sachets per day.”
I will tell you this–when you do the “ACCELERATED” program you’re using Optimslim shakes, soups or meal bars in replacement for real food THREE TIMES A DAY and consuming 800 calories or less. I don’t know about you, but I can eat 800 calories before lunch! No wonder you’re losing weight. BLIMEY MATE!
The “RAPID” program has you eating 1,000 calories a day or less–replacing TWO meals a day.
And with the “Balanced” program you only replace ONE meal a day and eat around 1,500 calories a day.
Optislim does advise you to have an initial consultation with your general practitioner before starting their programs (particularly the ACCELERATED program) and to have your GP monitor you throughout.
Does Optislim VLCD Shakes Offer a Money-Back Guarantee?
No. And the contact information for the company is long distance, so if you’re purchasing from outside “down below” you’re going to spend some moola. Basically if you decide to try this product, you’re stuck with it.
Final Thoughts
Optislim may be viewed as “inexpensive” for Australian consumers, but at $34.95 for 21 sachets, and recommended dosage “3 times a day” for you to gain all the nutritional value you need to safely be on this extremely low calorie diet, it’s costly. One box will only last you one week.
Optislim® cover their butts recommending you see your doctor before and during their program, and tell you to consume plenty of water and incorporate only “light” exercise into the regime. But bottom line, you’re going to be hungry for at least the first three weeks because this is so low calorie.
It’s hard to judge just how “nutritionally complete” this product line is without being able to view the ingredients.
Optimslim® do not recommend you use additional diet products or fat burners while taking their products.
Bottom line–you’re probably receive the same results from using a cheaper line like “SlimFast” if you live outside of Australia.
And man oh man are you going to crave “shrimp on the barb-e” after a day of living on 200-350 calorie meals.
I’m just sayin’…
