Because Ephedra was so effective as a weight loss agent everyone wants to be like it. Unfortunately, we all know that the FDA banned Ephedra because it could lead to a number of health related issues.

So now, as companies have been forced to remove Ephedra from their diet pills, they continue to search for the next big thing. In the case of SciFit TriCuts III they want to create a weight loss pill that looks, acts and delivers like Ephedra only without the unwanted side effects.

We can tell you right now: there’s nothing on this planet –as of yet – that can replace what Ephedra can do. So don’t be fooled into buying a product that claims to do what Ephedra does, only without the bad side effects. There is nothing like that available now.

So what is SciFit TriCuts III all about?

The pill relies on a couple of ingredients to drive the weight loss. We like a couple of the ingredients and we’ll highlight those below:

Guarana – is a fruit native to Northern Brazil and can also be found in parts of Venezuela. Natives have used the fruit for centuries to cure a variety of illnesses such as fevers, headaches and cramps and is also used as an energy booster.

The fruit has recently become a popular ingredient in weigh loss products and energy drinks because the fruit contains nearly twice the amount of caffeine found in coffee beans. Guarana is also included in many weight loss supplements because it’s believed to boost the body’s energy levels, increase metabolism or thermogenesis and act as an appetite suppressant.

7-Keto DHEA – works as a metabolite of an adrenal hormone called DHEA, which forms when our bodies produce and metabolize DHEA. The benefits of this process are increased metabolism though thermogenisis. The higher rate of thermogenisis happening, the less likelihood that unwanted fat cells will be sticking around.

BioPerine – Enhances the absorption of nutrients. This helps the body absorb the nutrients contained in the other supplements so the body can maximize the weight loss potential.

3,5 Diiodo-L-Thyronine – this has been shown to enhance mitochondrial fatty acid oxidation rate and thermogenesis in rats.

But despite these solid ingredients, it’s just not enough to really make a major difference in weight loss. Now, we have little doubt that by taking SciFit TriCuts III some type of measureable weight loss will occur but it won’t be at the standard rate we hold our weight loss pills to. Besides the pill isn’t reviewing super well by users and that plays a role in our recommendation process.

How much does it cost?

The good thing about SciFit TriCuts III is the price tag. A bottle will only cost you about $20, and while that’s great it also raises a few concerns for us. Why is the bottle so cheap? It costs a lot to put good ingredients in pills; could it be that the proper amounts of the good ingredients aren’t included? That could very well be a possibility and one we won’t risk experiencing.

Final thoughts

SciFit TriCuts III did a decent job of getting a solid formula put together, but delivering the same results as an Ephedra based product, as they claim, is not going to happen. The formula looks good but is lacking that extra kick to get it over the top; but because it only costs $20 it might be worth making an initial investment to see if the product works for you. However, for a couple more bucks you could get your hands on a better and more effective weight loss pill.
