Slimmies Weight Loss Chocolates Reviews
“I got these for my boyfriend to lose weight. He immediately ate ten of them because he loved the taste so much. I told him to slow down. But the next day he ate the rest of them. Just a warning. They are very, very tasty.”
“I use two Slimmies a day. They keep me full and have reduced the amount of food I eat in a day. Very affordable product. I bought this at rite aid for fairly cheap and it had a mail in rebate.”
WOW.
Chocolate for weight loss.
Somebody pinch me because I think I just died and went to Heaven!
Unfortunately I’d probably be like the boyfriend in review number one. I’d like ‘em so much I’d keep eating them.
And I think that kinda defeats the point…
Ingredients in Slimmies Weight Loss Chocolates
Okay the annoying thing about Slimmies is the official website does not divulge the ingredient dosages–or much information on the ingredients at all! They do give you the label facts, but all that tells you is total calories, fat, sugar etc. Not helpful.
Here’s what I managed to scramble together (and now I want chocolate, thank you very much):
- Each Slimmies chocolate is 15 calories, one third of which is fat. Math isn’t my strength, but even I know that’s not a healthy ratio.
- Each Slimmies contains 1 gram of Glucomannan. Glucomannan is an excellent weight loss ingredient. It suppresses appetite by expanding in the stomach leaving you feeling full and satiated.
- Slimmies tells you that chocolate is good for you–high in antioxidants and mood enhancers that make you feel good. Well, natural cocoa does this–if you eat the bitter 80% cocoa with no sugar and little fat. Something tells me with how good Slimmies taste you’re not getting the super healthy dark chocolate here.
And that’s it. Slimmies does not contain any stimulants to burn fat or provide energy.
It’s an appetite suppressant that relies upon one ingredient that blimps out in your stomach so it feels like you’ve eaten a full-course meal.
Like Willy Wonka’s three-meal chewing gum.
Or not.
It didn’t seem to affect what’s-her-name’s boyfriend that way.
Does Slimmies Weight Loss Chocolates Offer a Money-Back Guarantee?
The official website doesn’t. If you purchase at stores like Rite Aid or GNC, I’d check with them on their return policy before purchasing. Most retailers will not refund on opened product.
Dunno about you, but I’m never impressed by a company who doesn’t back their product with a money-back guarantee. It speaks of a certain–lack of confidence.
But hey–you can enter their contest to become the next ‘Slimmies Girl.’
(Yeah I know guys–it’s discrimination pure and simple.)
Final Thoughts
I LOVE chocolate. So much so that I highly doubt chewing on one–or two–or even three–is going to cause me to eat less. In fact I’m sure in my case it would bring on a complete binge-fest. I’d far more resemble reviewer number one than two.
Slimmies taste good. Blame the sugar and fat. Is it me, or isn’t consuming either one counterproductive to losing weight?
A weight loss product that contains only ONE ingredient (even one with clinical backing like Glucomannan) isn’t going to do much. Sad but true.
You’ll need three boxes of Slimmies to get you through a month. Luckily they sell them “buy two get one free” for $49.99. (My husband would flip if I wanted to spend $50 a month on chocolate!)
Slimmies sounds fun–but seems more gimmicky to me than anything. Slimmies do provide a weight management tab on their site and push eating healthily and exercising–but will you lose weight from those changes rather than their chocolates?
Buy one box and try it–but don’t be blown away if Slimmies doesn’t work.
I mean come on–chocolate is meant for indulgence–not weight loss.
Off to my secret supply in the pantry…
